Hopefully, any antenatal classes you attend will focus on so much more than the birthing process itself, although by the very nature of the word 'antenatal', it means to focus on the birthing process in particular.
Trouble is, nothing but nothing will ever prepare people for the birthing process of their first child (or children if 2 or more expected at once).
While the birthing techniques focused on in antenatal classes are important, it is the immediate postnatal situations that people are also ill-prepared for.
For instance, changing nappies, changing clothes, holding techniques, and, sleep deprivation.
Go to antenatal classes, speak with friends/family who have kids, speak with professionals such as mid-wives or childcare workers, read a book or two, look on the net - get informed about birthing and caring for the new bubs.
Oh - and birthing plans - if that makes you feel better, have one - but, be prepared for anything and to be flexible or drop your plan completely, for bubs have no idea of let alone any regard for, anyone elses plans for what is (supposed) to happen.
