A Calling
by DenisLurix

Out there
In the darkness of night
In the darkness of space
Was a door.

Out there
With the stars of the night
With the stars of deep space
Was a door.

It floated out there
Without a care
And beckoned me
To want to enter there.

Light streamed out
Between the frame
And the closed door.

Light screamed out
Light steamed out
Between the frame
And that closed door

That now slowly opened.

And the light powered out
Out through the darkness
Out through the stars
Out through me
And way past mars.

It wasn't hot
It wasn't cold
It was however
Through me
And my soul.

It wasn't blinding
it wasn't minding
It was however
Personally binding.

As I stood there
Where I was
Not offering to move
The light beckoned me
As if asking me to choose ...

Then it slowly faded
The door and the light
Leaving me knowing
I turned down something

One thing

One night.
