Tree Mendoss
by DenisLurix

Wind lapping through the leaves
Branches reaching for the sky
Water in a squeezy bottle
Phone sitting
Standing by

Busy beings follow well marked tracks
Seeking their goal
To bring it back
Natural and manufacturalled
Entwined separately
But becoming one.

Sand below and a water flow
Up top a cage with big holes
Through which consciousness,
Choice and convenience all flows.
In Solitude or with other dudes
Or dudesses
With family, friends or with the Masses

In Tree Mendoss
In Tree Mendoss
It's tremendous to hear the world go by
Unseen by even though who see
Unheard, even by those who hear
Untouched, even by those who feel
Unscathed, even to those who scar

Birds now do not really nest
For this tree now has great big human pests
Who visit to sit or crawl
Or chase all
... or to ponder it all

This tree with its chopped limbs
And screw-in pins
Seems happy
Or if not
The screams are contained within
For even an ear to its thin skin
Cannot detect any pain or grin

But perhaps the dog can hear it sing
For all the leaves are still forever green.

In Tree Mendoss
In Tree Mendoss
It's tremendous to hear the world go by
Unseen by even though who have seen
Unheard, even by those so near
Untouched, even by those who've been
Unscathed, even to those that scar
