Cleanliness for Acne Prevention & Treatment
by DrQark

Yes ... the key prevention/treatment advocated here is cleanliness, basically because acne results from the blockage of one or more skin pores - so cleaning acts as prevention by assisting with keeping the pores unblocked, as well as going a long way to treating acne by unblocking blocked pores.

Yes .. it may sound so simple as not to be real, but consider this ... why do so many of the preventions/treatments for acne that are available commercially or by presciption, require the users to wash the affected area first, before applying the 'wonder-gunder'? (Sounds a bit like taking headache pills with water ... is it the pills or the water the head is really screaming for?)

To keep things simple, the info about cleanliness is presented within the following sub-sections -

Cleanliness for General Acne Prevention

Cleanliness for Treating Blackheads

Cleanliness for Treating Whiteheads

Cleanliness for Treating Multiheads

Cleanliness for Treating Nodules/Cysts

(See Acne Types for a description of each of the 4 acne categories mentioned above)
