Electronification -
the Electronical Revolution
by MrIgCognito

Electronification is post-Industrialisation: the 'Electronical Revolution' that has evolved from the Industrial Revolution. Electronification will effect 21st Century Earth significantly more than Industrialisation did the 20th Century.

People talk of the (coming) 'Information Age' but, as this article lays out, information is only one component of Electronification.

To create an initial appreciation of Electronification's potential impact, think of how infantile Industrialisation (and it's impact) was at the dawn of the 20th Century (AD1900) compared with the end of the 20th Century (AD1999). Where would human society and the Earth it lives on be now, if we had 1990's Electronification or even 1950's Industrialisation in 1900?

"Electronification" is a MrIg word encaspulating the following words: electron, electricity, electronics, environment, elections, if, hi-fi, fiction, non-fiction, fraction, fornication, vacation, information, communication, education, notification, clarification, invasion and revolution. By looking at each of those words, the underlying meaning and some impacts of Electronification are clarified.

After visiting the 'underlying words', I'll outline one impact in particular that I would prefer to occur - the reviving of 'cottage industry' - rather than the continuation of the consumption-dominated household units that Industrialisation has by necessity created.

So, starting at the beginning of the word Electronification, there is 'Electron'.
