Fiction (something imagined or an accepted falsehood) and non-fiction (anything other than fiction) have been central components of human interaction, probably since 'year dot', although the advent of print and more recently visual/sound recordings, has accelerated the awareness and use of both.

The line between fiction and non-fiction has never really been totally clear, for there are always variations of a 'true story', but Electronification offers the ability to create multiple realities or falsehoods that are forwarded as being true, unless they are obviously false. However, the real issue here is E-Society's increasing reliance on particularly visual recordings for 'proof of truth'.

For instance, the 'outside world' acts more decisively to tragedy 'somewhere else', if the tragedy is seen on television rather than just heard on radio or read in a newspaper.

The future impact of 'proof of truth' is already evident and has been for many centuries.'Traditional' oral-history-dominated societies that have had contact with or were over-run by another society that is not oral history orientated, have been encountering this 'proof of truth' issue ever since the 'contact'. Oral history societies (often referred to as 'illiterate'), have difficulty providing the 'proof of truth' to the (invading) 'literate societies' about of loss of land, status, power over their own lives, and family dislocation. The 'invasion' continues now through Electronical rather than physical means.

Importantly, 'literate societies' are now so entrenched in (visual) 'proof of truth', that in the future, all of its own people will be open to the same abuse that has been met out to 'illiterate' societies for centuries.

How? Recording , often without people's knowledge or consent, and the subsequent manipulation or destruction of so many events, is now so easy to achieve. With an ever increasing reliance on Electronical records, this creation/manipulation/destruction of people's and communities' (recorded) lives, will also increase.

The need to have multiple format, 'proof of truth' records will be paramount for people and communities, to protect themselves from being more than the expendable pawns they already are.

Related to 'if', 'fiction' and 'non-fiction' is fraction, which is what will be left of 'the truth' once Electronification dominates.

Moving along, there is within Electronification, fornication.

When individuals and communities are not aware or do not take appropriate measures relating to Electronified records, they are being fornicated ('f'ed) by Electronification. This is Societal Fornication.

Sexual fornication however is already taking place, with the dominance of pornography on 'the Web', not only in terms of storage/transmission space, but also in terms of income earned. Nearly all business sites currently on 'the Web' DO NOT make money - this is not so with the pornographic industry.

However e-sex , or 'sexualtronic' fornication, is only in its infancy. While there is now 'virtual reality' equipment that can simulate sexual experiences, in the future you will be able to get sexual gratification without the 'mess' - that is, purely psychological orgasms, with whom ever you choose!

For the ultra-ego person, you will also be able to give psychological orgasms to people you wish to impress, so they will say of you "s/he is great in bed" - or will it be "in the head", giving a whole new meaning to "gives great head"!

Of course for the less deviant, there will be the e-vacation, the virtual reality vacation - but usually not quite so dramatic as those contained within at least one mega hit 'recall' movie.
