Time Management Dictums

  • Time planning can be as simple as having a list of to-do's with dates/times assigned to each item, noting events on a calendar or using a ring-file diary, or as highly complex as a mega-multi-user fully computerised management information system.

  • As often as practical, carrying a pen/cil and small note pad or diary to record specific tasks, information or doodles for ourselves, or to detach for someone else.

  • Whenever we hear ourselves say or think "I'll remember", rather than relying solely on memory for everything, it's usually best to write the required outcome/s on to something that has a high chance of acting as a timely reminder within the outcome/s-relevant future.

  • Managing time is like managing whales, as both are oblivious to and generally unconsultable by what is attempting to manage them.

  • Time Management can only ease-the-burden when there genuinely is too much to do in time available.

  • Any time management system needs user-time regularly inputed for the system to have any chance of success.

That's it ... almost containable in a nut shell.
